For this first spotlight, we interviewed Linda Fong, president of FASTSIGNS of Hayward and Oakland. She founded her stores in 1995 and has been operating them ever since.
About FASTSIGNS
FASTSIGNS is an international company, with over 750 independently-owned locations around the world. They locally manufacture signs that sell, inform, and direct with an emphasis on accessibility, compliance, ADA, Braille, tactile, and wayfinding. They offer a wide variety of signage, from vehicle graphics to wall decals to banners.

When we asked Linda what her stores’ values are, she shared that FASTSIGNS of Oakland and Hayward have three core values: people first, things later, and promotion last. On top of that, she reminds her employees that kindness is free. Her stores’ vision statement is “Helping create a world where accessibility is a reality for everyone, where beauty and function come together.” Linda believes in shopping and supporting local businesses, and she shared that every single one of her team members shares the same sentiment.
