We are pleased to announce Velocity Courier Service is coming under the Modern Express umbrella, which is scheduled to finalize January 2022. Velocity has been servicing the Bay Area since 1995, and was a leader in the local import/export courier industry. We’re excited to have John Dykzeul and his team join us to better serve you.

We are excited to be expanding our presence in the Bay Area peninsula and to be able to offer you a broader range of services. Modern Express has been in business over 70 years, providing mail service, courier route service, and same day on demand services to the greater SF Bay Area and Northern California.

What will not change:

  • Services – your service will continue as normal with no disruptions
  • Dependable drivers – we’ll be keeping on as many staff as possible and will have more staff trained on your routes to ensure continuous coverage

What will change:

  • Contacts – if you need to contact our office regarding your service, reach us anytime by calling 800-400-RUSH or 510-444-6245, or emailing status@modernexpress.com
  • Billing – your invoices will start coming from Modern Express, our remittance details will be included with the first invoice from us
  • Advanced technology capabilities – you will be able to receive real time proof of delivery emails or text messages and will have the ability to enter on-demand delivery orders online
  • Access to a broader range of services offered by Modern Express, including:

    • Larger service area, covering all of Northern California
    • On-demand delivery services
    • Refrigerated deliveries
    • Warehousing and logistics solutions
